Mr.P. heeft een briefje verstop. - Mr.P has hidden a note

 Na een aantal weken geen blog geschreven, 

gaan we eindelijk weer beginnen.

De reden, bezig met een uitgever om te kijken of van de Pelikaan en de slak (Mr.P.&Sneezy) een boek valt te maken.

Daarvoor moest ik nog een aantal illustraties maken. We zijn hiermee heel druk bezig en de kans is groot dat dit zal lukken. Later meer over de voortgang.
En natuurlijk onze jaarlijkse kerstkaart kwam er nog een bij.
Momenteel werk ik aan de laatste, maar pittige illustratie over het verhaal van De Dragontree. Daarover binnenkort meer met een terugblik waar ik was gebleven.

After a few weeks of not writing a blog, we are finally starting again.
The reason, working with a publisher to see if the Pelican and the Snail (Mr. P. & Sneezy) can be made into a book.
For that I had to make a number of illustrations. We are very busy with this and there is a good chance that it will succeed. More about the progress later.
And of course our annual Christmas card was added.
I am currently working on the last, but spicy illustration about the story of The Dragontree. More on that soon with a look back at where I left off.

Tijdelijk even geen Steampunky - Temporarily no Steampunky

 

Komende weken 'tijdelijk' even geen Steampunky, werk aan 4 illustraties voor onze dochter. 

Daarna moeten we inspiratie opdoen voor onze traditionele kerstkaart.

Muis vliegt in een lucifersdoosje - Mouse is flying in a matchbox

Voor Pufmuis de werktekeningen van de complete

ballon laat zien, vertelt hij de reden om te vliegen.

Pufmuis vertelde dat zijn broer met zijn vriend Mus, een strandvakantie hadden. De weg er heen was geen probleem, maar toen hij er genoeg van had, was er een probleem. Hoe kom je weer terug in het bos. 

Uiteindelijk hebben enkele dieren van het strand een lucifersdoosje geconstrueerd met veren om te kunnen vliegen. Meeuw heeft hem veilig terug gebracht

En wat vertelde hij mij toen hij terug was... de wereld is niet vlak, zoals hij dacht. De vogels lieten hem zien dat we op een grote bol leven. 

Zo heeft meeuw hem weer teruggebracht.

Dat is de reden om een ballon te maken omdat met eigen ogen te zien.
Ik wil geen mandje onderaan de ballon, zoals dat gebruikelijk is. Één die comfortabel en bestuurbaar is.
Pufmuis wees op de 2 handels in de schoen. Die is voor het roer en de andere voor de aandrijving. Punky keek ongeloofwaardig naar Pufmuis.
Ik leg het je straks uit op mijn werktekeningen.

Pufmouse said that his brother had a beach holiday with his friend Sparrow. Getting there was no problem, but when he had enough, there was a problem. How do you get back to the forest? Finally, some animals from the beach constructed a matchbox with feathers for flying. A seagull has brought him back safely.
And what did he tell me when he got back ... the world is not flat, as he thought. The birds showed him that we live on a round sphere.

That is the reason to make a balloon because I want to see it with your own eyes.
I don't want a basket at the bottom of the balloon, as is usual. One that is comfortable and controllable.
Pufmouse pointed to the 2 handles in the shoe. One is for the rudder and the other for the propulsion. Punky looked at Pufmouse incredibly.

Een kinderschoentje onder de ballon - A children's shoe under the balloon

Wanneer Punky in de werkkamer van Pufmuis is, ziet hij een oud kinderschoentje. Als de muis een leren muts opzet, is Punky de draad kwijt van zijn verhaal. 'Je zou me laten zien wat er onder die ballon gaat komen'. 'Pufmuis stapt in de schoen. 'Nog een paar dagen sleutelen en dan stijg ik hiermee de lucht in. De propeller, de motor en de touwen moeten nog worden aangebracht. Punky had een rieten mand verwacht, maar zeker geen schoen. Pufmuis zag Punky vreemd kijken naar de 2 handels. 'Hiermee bestuur ik de motor en het roer. Kom mee, dan zal ik je het allemaal laten zien en uitleggen op de werktekeningen'.

Dat wilde Punky zeker zien. (En ik ook!')

When Punky is in Pufmouse office, he sees an old children's shoe.

Thereafter the mouse puts on a leather cap, Punky has lost track of his story.  "You were supposed to show me what's going to get under that balloon."

Pufmouse steps into the shoe. 'Another few days of tinkering and then I will take off with this. The propeller, engine and ropes have yet to be installed.

Punky had expected a wicker basket, but certainly not a shoe.  Pufmouse saw Punky look strangely at the 2 handles. 'With this I control the motor and the rudder.. Come along and I will show you it all and explain it on the working drawings'.

 Punky definitely wanted to see that.  (And I!')

Punky kan zijn ogen niet geloven -Punky cannot believe his eyes

Punky is verbaasd als hij Pufmuis ziet hangen onder een ballon. Dan vertelt Pufmuis dat hij met deze ballon gaat vliegen. 'Dat hou je zo nooit lang vol', was het antwoord van Punky. 

Pufmuis lacht, 'hij is nog niet klaar, en er komt nog iets onder te hangen.Kom mee, naar mijn werkkamer, dan laat ik je de werktekening zien, hoe deze gaat worden'.
