Gompie helpt mijn reisverhaal aan te passen - Gompie is going to help me with my travelogue

Nu mijn tekenvriend Gumpie is ontwikkeld op mijn blog met bijzondere ontdekkingen, gaan we weer verder met het reisverhaal van Mr.P.&Sneezy. Voor wie meer wil weten over Gumpie klik op onderstaande link.

Zeker 10 jaar geleden begonnen met het maken van illustraties over de relatie van slakkenhuizen met diverse onderwerpen. Met de bedoeling om er een populair/wetenschappelijk boek van te maken. Dat werd lastig, ben een verhalenverteller, tekenaar en geen schrijver. Uiteindelijk heeft dit geleid tot een reisverhaal van de pelikaan en de slak. Met een sneltrein vaart is het verhaal getekend met tekst erbij.
Menig keer de opmerking; 'wanneer komt dit in boekvorm?' Daar had ik geen zin en geen tijd voor.

Nu 2021 heb ik de stap genomen om het uit te gaan geven. Gumpie gaat mij hierbij helpen.

Advies gekregen om het lange verhaal met honderden illustraties in delen te splitsen. Anders zou het te kostbaar worden. Nu ik het begin van mijn verhaal terug zie, moet ik toegeven dat sommige illustraties vervangen moeten worden. Maar ook aangevuld met nieuwe tekeningen.

Komende weken zal ik laten zien wat er wordt vervangen en aangepast.

At least 10 years ago I started making illustrations about the relationship between snail shells and various subjects. With the intention of making it a popular/scientific book. That became difficult, I am a storyteller, draftsman and not a writer. Ultimately, this led to a travelogue of the pelican and the snail. With an express train, the story is drawn with text.

Many times the comment; 'when will this come in book form?' I didn't feel like it and didn't have time for that. Now 2021 I have taken the step to publish it.

Gumpie is going to help me with this.

Received advice to split the long story into parts with hundreds of illustrations. Otherwise it would become too expensive. Now that I see the beginning of my story, I have to admit that some illustrations need to be replaced. But also supplemented with new drawings.

In the coming weeks I will show what is being replaced and adjusted.

GUMPIE's first advice, the fox and snail illustration should be removed. It will go somewhere else.
